The cause of many degenerative diseases is the impaired ability of cells to uptake nutrients, remove waste and repair damage caused by advancing age, oxidation and the harmful chemicals in our food, air and water.

The VitaCel nutritional supplements are the result of many years research and testing by organic biochemist Dr. Robert Koch DSc., of the Gerovital GH-3 formula perfected and used by Professor Ana Aslan of the Romanian Institute of Geriatrics, and are the only patented vitamin products to incorporate a series of procaine based nutriments (PBN's) which appear to help accelerate and improve the repair and rejuvenation of damaged and diseased cells.

The VitaCel line is a dietary supplement derived from two separate nutrient substances occuring naturally in the body and which are actually a very simple combination of the two B vitamins PABA (ParaAminoBenzoicAcid) and DEAE (DiethylAminoEthanol) the biologically active precursor of Choline.  These nutrient substances are combined to form Procaine HCI, which in turn, needs to be stablized and complexed in order to allow it to enter the cells.

The stabilization of the procaine molecule into a double salt complex enables it to be transorted directly to the cells where it is broken down into vitamin acids.  Once in the cell, the procaine breaks back down into DEAE and PABA.  The PABA helps to increase energy production in the cell while DEAE is split to form two fat-soluble phospholipid (lecithin) substances, whcih are major components of the inner and outer lipid layers of all cell membranes.  DEAE and PABA are of extreme importance in cellular repair.

It is these highly water soluble double salts that exhibit the unique quality of being able to transfer through the damaged membranes of sick and diseased cells, increasing their bio-energetic and electrical potential as well as supplying nutrients that are essential to initiate repair that have been found to be responsible for the remarkable improvements in health.

As membrane repair progresses, the functions of the cellular sodium and calcium pumps are increaed, removing unwanted excesses of these minerals from the cell.  Potassium and magnesium replace the sodium and calcium in the cells resulting in higher membrane potentials.  This, in turn, improves feeding and the function of enzyme systems in the cell.  These changes, along with others not understood, bring about a cellular repair process that inhibits cell degeneration and, in some cases, is believed to cause a reversal in many cell degenerative processes.

Dr. Koch's research and work centered on improving and stabilizing the biochemical properties and bioavailability of the original procaine injectable formula.  He perfected and patented his superior, stabilized "biologically acive organic acids" formula.  These patented "double salts" contain a variety of procaine based nutriments (PCN's) that protect the procaine from premature hydrolysis by enzymes in the bloodstream.
